Mayan Madness - Donna's fave pics

Matt and Chris shark wrestlin at Isla Mujeres. Seriously. It is a real "cat shark."

Matt cookin up a fish fry for breakfast.

Eco-tours of the Sian Kaan lagoons.

A jeep ride thru the jungle at "Hidden Worlds" cenote (underground caves with pools of water). Our own "Indian Jones" ride. No joke.

Matt feeding a flower to a wild iguana at Tulum ruins.

Los viejos en la playa. Que bonitos!!

Snorkelling at Yal Ku. Millions and millions of fish and sea turtles and crabs - Oh My!

Livin' la vida buena. Muy buena.

!Elotes son buenos!

The whole famdango at Tulum ruins. It was maya-gnificent!

The trip was filled with snorkelling, climbing on ruins, beach lounging, shopping for mexican tourist junk, eating out. My favorite times, though, were just hangin at "Casa Iguana". It was the most amazing rental place ever. It had a main house, a guest house, a pool, an outdoor eating area with its own fountain, talapa-covered hammocks, volleyball court and barbecue. We cooked most of our meals there and just enjoyed relaxing and being together. It was a dream come true.

I feel like I know what the celestial kingdom will be like: learning, being with loved ones, relaxing. This is the life!!

Chillin' with Howard and Martha

I know, I know.

You are all dying to see photos and read accounts of our Cancun adventures. Don't you worry - I'll post soon about our amazing Yucatan adventures.

But first, I wanted to ask for help from someone more techno-savy than myself. Which is pretty much everyone. Chris? Neil? J.P.? Anne? anyone else? are you up for it?

I will be interviewed on the "Sirius" radio network next Tuesday, May 20th at 12:15 Eastern time (That's 10:15 a.m. Utah time and 9:15 a.m. for Californians and you crazy time-maverick Arizonans.)

Would someone be willing to find a way to record this interview for me?

This is my first national interview - and it will be with the "Everyday Food" division of Martha Stewart Living. I doubt if Martha herself will be chatting it up with me, most likely just one of her "people." But, hey, it's nationally broadcast radio, so I am definitely JAZZED (no reference to any NBA playoff team intended).

You can sign up for a 3-day free trial membership of Sirius radio and then tune in at that time.

Despite the fact that I am seriously cyberspacailly impaired, I did manage to find the website. Quite interesting. www.sirius.com .

It is a bizzarro world we live in where Martha Stewart and Howard Stern are the two biggest stars on the same network!

A Grandma is BORN!!!

The new family: Anne, Aaron and Lily at their home in Holland, Massachusetts April 24, 2008 (Miss Lily is 10 days old).

Lily in her first quilt, made by Grandma Donna.
Donna and Anne smother Lily with hugs and kisses.
When a baby is born, so is a grandma, so the saying goes. And, becoming a grandma is all that I had heard it would be - thrilling!! And most importantly without all the exhausting pacing the floor at night, feeding, changing diapers, etc., etc., etc.
When you meet a grandbaby you fall in love instantly. It is a joyful feeling that defies the capabilities of language to capture. All at once calm and peaceful but exhillerating. Sort of a pay day for having been a parent.
Lily: be forewarned. You will be smothered with love all of your days!!!
