Thanksgiving Fun

Woooo Hooo! This is my first try at posting solo - without one of my children standing behind me talking me through it.

We thought you might enjoy seeing the group photo of the Thanksgiving Pageant at the Kelly Compound recently.

Doesn't Matt make a wonderful turkey???

Great job, Donna, very professional, I would have never known. Also, very cute kids there!

Does anyone know how to post a link to a post? I will want to post a few links to these types of posts, cause you all take better and more pics of my kids than I do.

See, Donna, how much I write? I need some purpose behind it that would actually benefit somebody, even if it is you! If I was writing tons of articles, blog posts, ect. about your books and putting the stuff everywhere I think it might be some pretty high profile publicity!

Amen and Hallelujah!

Yes, by all means - the more the "ink" the better.

Can you send me info about which cooking blogs you are posting on? would love to look them up!

I think everyone did a great job especially the very cute little indian/ pilgram girl. I don't know if Thaya knew which side she was on!!! Plus Matt was also quite realistic as the Mayflower!!!

Donna,

I haven't started posting on actual cooking blogs yet, this is just a preview of my writing on other topics. I think I need to get a bit of background first esp since I don't know much about vegetarian cooking (yet).

But when I post I will send you an URL so that you can read it.

I think that your family blog is really good and really a positive thing. I am constantly trafficing through it to get links to everyone's sites, so thanks for doing that.

If you happen to know how to do that, could you tell me how you did the sidebar link to all the other fam websites? If no you might have Amy or Kate tell me.

I definitely understand being a decade or so behind the movers and shakers of the online revolution.

Hi again D,

I keep logging into your site and get distracted and forgetting to ask you whether you can separate the link for the 'Morgan family' with the other one that will basically become just 'Carol's random thoughts' blog.

This is all optional and an 'as time allows' favor, but if you get a chance, 'The Morgan family' as the primary one for us, and the one you have currently on your list as just 'Carol' would be the most accurate version of things.

THX again, it is helpful for us all to promote each other like this, I very frequently use lists of links to check out what everyone in the family is up to.

So if not everyone has become aware- I am the keeper or the Administrator of the happyvalleykellys blog. I do all the sidebar stuff and edit things, so if you have any questions- feel free to ask me.

CA - As for the Linking question, I can step you through it. After you sign into your blog and are looking at the main blog page- click on "Customize" in the top right corner. You are now in the "Template", "Page Elements" section, (see tabs in top left corner). You are looking at a large box with text boxes in the middle. Click on "Add a Page Element" on the right side of that box, either Upper or Lower on the right, depending on if you want it to be higher or lower on your blog. A list of categories pops up. Towards the top is "Link List" click on "Add to blog" under Link List. Then a window pops up that asks you for a title of your link list, and lets you add a link one at a time. Copy and paste the web address of a link in the bar called, "New Site URL", and the name of the person/family under "New Site Name." Once you have your list, you can edit the names/site addresses by again going to customize, then clicking on your link list.

Does that make sense? That was quite lengthy - and you may have already figured it out, if so, yay for reminders.
