Great Web Site

I found this great website that I wanted to share with all my favorite bloggers:

http://www.freecycle.org

Like re-cycle, only Free. Clever, huh?

It is a site dedicated to keeping stuff out of landfills. You can post things that you want to give away or you can post a "wanted" post for things you are looking for. All for free, of course.

There is a lot of random junk but also some good stuff. We found hundreds plastic balls - like they have at the ball crawl at Chuck E. Cheese - that we snagged and are going to use at Girl's Camp.

You sign in for your area so you won't have to drive far to pick up your new treasures.

Enjoy!

FYI - It's Freecycle.ORG

Very cool site.

Here's some things I would like to give away:

- About 1,000 weeds currently growing in my yard
- About 8 million specs of dirt currently resting on my car
- My next door neighbor's drum set.
- About 100 very heavy food storage items located in my garage (I would then like to acquire about 100 identical food storage items to be delivered to our upstairs storage closet)
- All of 'my Mitt in '08' stickers
- And all of my 'Al Gore is my hero' shirts
- Then there's all of my bad weather gear from Seattle. Wooowhoo, don't need that any more!

Any takers??

We have plenty of dirt, weeds, etc., but I would like to give away my neighbors's dogs, who for some reason prefer to poop in our yard rather than theirs.
-also several large karate trophies, many genuine 1st place winners
-a very heavy weight set
-many sweaters, t-shirts, 80's to
90's vintage
-a complete set of football pads to fit high-school age boy.
Any takers?

I say we skip the website all together - - I will trade you straight accross for the following:

- About 18 bags of 80's style clothes. Hope hot pink is your favortie color!

_ New Kids on the Block sheet set.

- Hamster cage with about 40 yards of plastic tubing for hamster heaven.

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costumes and nunchucks.

- Several dozen Living Scripture VHS tapes, well used but mostly still visible.

By the way, they are available FOB (That is, pick up at my house!)
